Objectives of workshop: To discuss the principles and the best practice of assessment of trainees in clinical settings specially in low-resourced settings with aim to plan an assessment system that fits the requirements and the setting in Sudan.
Learning outcomes: By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the principles the assessment of clinical competence
- Discuss the Pros and Cons of assessment methods used for clinical competence
- Construct the possible assessment methods for the clinical setting in Sudan
- Plan a possible assessment system for clinical competence that fits
- Plan an assessment system the setting in Sudan
Method of Delivery: Plenary Discussion, group Work and Discussion and reflection
Work Plan: The workshop will be in three sessions, each session will start with a Plenary Discussion to set the concepts the session will also include an individual and group reflection on the current practice. Then participants will be engaged in group work for consolidation and application of knowledge.
