Psychological trauma; evidence-based management and recovery approaches

• Objectives of workshop: The workshop aims to provide an understanding of what psychological trauma is, how to diagnose it, its causes, types, dynamics, consequences and symptoms as well as psychological reactions and disorders that result from facing traumatic experiences. Then to present the various up to date evidence-based treatment and recovery approaches to manage different types of psychological traumas.
• Learning outcomes: Be able to define trauma and its types, demonstrate knowledge of the different theories and causes of trauma, explain the different ways that trauma affects people and learn to view traumatic reactions and their classifications. Also to learn the most up to date evidence-based treatment and recovery approaches to manage different types of psychological traumas.
